We admittedly don't watch Sesame Street a ton- there are about a gazillion TV shows out there, and Evie has many favorites. But she does like Elmo, and music and dancing, so I thought going to see the Sesame Street show would be fun. :) Evie loved it, she kept telling me during the performance "Mommy I like this show!" and dancing along. It was a bit long for an almost three year old, with about 15 minutes left she started asking when we were going to have lunch. But for the most part, it was a success!

My Little Artist
Evie is really enjoying arts and crafts lately- and we've been doing a lot more of it this winter. She loves to paint, draw, use glue, and cut with scissors. It's so fun to see her skills develop- she's started drawing faces recently, and she mastered it so quick! She can now do a face with eyes, nose, and mouth inside in the right spots. I'm so proud of my little artist. :)
Evie says this is a jellyfish family- they have hair, in case you were confused ;)
Evie drew this just the other day- I can't believe it! She says it's me :)
Cabin Fever Fun
It has been below freezing so much this winter, that we've been spending a LOT of time at home. We try to get out a couple days a week, for dance, playdates, and errands, but mostly we're avoiding the cold. So we've been trying to stay busy (and not in front of the TV). Activities include lots of baking, indoor picnics, arts and crafts, and blanket forts!
Chaos at the K Hall
4 kids ages 3 and under (and one bossy 5 year old) can get a little out of hand at 9:30 pm after a Tuesday night meeting. Welcome to OP Kingdom Hall!! ;)
P.S. They're pretending to be horses, in case you were wondering

More Jumping Fun
It's been a while since I've posted- it's been a long cold winter!! We've been stuck at home a lot, but we've been trying to do as many activities as we can to keep busy. Sky Zone is always a hit!

First snow of the winter
Evie gives a us a little tour of our backyard after the first snow, and we talk about some animal tracks.
Evie Talks
Evie has been chatting up a storm lately, just within the last month we've seen a huge surge of words and phrases from her. She's getting better at her consonant endings, and 2 and 3 syllable words are commonplace now. She's also using sentences so much more, and has picked up a lot of hilarious phrases that she uses regularly. Here are some cute things Evie's saying these days...
- "Look at me!" although she says it "Yook at me!" which is even more cute.
- "How bout...?" she uses this when she's trying to bargain with me about getting something she wants. Like I will tell her no shows right now, and she'll say "How bout... Bubble Guppies?"
- "Follow me!" and "Come on!"
- "Right back"- I love this one because it shows how much she's grown. She used to say "Baa" with a finger up, which was her version of "be right back". Now she has two out of three words and I love it!
- "One sec" This is a new one, but she uses it correctly when she wants me to wait for her to finish something, it cracks me up :)
She's also getting great with people's names, and her dance class has really helped expand her vocabulary. She loves dance so much that she talks about it constantly, asking when we're going to dance class, tell me she's practicing and putting on a "ballet show". She also has learned a few of the ballet terms, like shasay and pirourette, and uses them correctly. And here's a little video of her saying my favorite word of hers. ;)
